Quick answers

What does an AI trainer do?

An AI trainer teaches people and teams how to use AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT for their actual day-to-day work. That usually means writing and replying to emails, summarising long documents, preparing reports, drafting proposals, cleaning up spreadsheets and speeding up research.

A good AI trainer starts with your tasks rather than the technology. The session looks at what takes up too much of your week, then builds simple, repeatable ways to hand parts of that work to AI - with clear guidance on what to check before anything is sent or published.

Training is usually delivered one-to-one or to a small team, either remotely or in person, and is followed by written prompts and instructions so people can keep using what they learned.

Is AI training worth it for businesses?

It is worth it when the training is tied to real tasks. Generic AI courses teach features; task-based training changes how a working week runs. Most people find the value in a small number of repeated jobs - email, reporting, meeting notes, first drafts - where saving twenty minutes a day compounds quickly.

It is also a risk-reduction step. Staff are already using AI tools, often without guidance. Training gives everyone the same ground rules on confidentiality, checking output and where AI should not be used.

What happens during an AI workshop?

A Forthfield AI workshop is hands-on. People bring real work to the session, we agree the tasks worth automating or speeding up, and we work through them live in the tools your business already pays for.

Everyone leaves with prompts written for their own role, a short written summary and an agreed next step - so the workshop turns into habits rather than notes nobody opens again.

Ways to work with an AI trainer

Every business starts in a different place. These are the formats Forthfield delivers most often.

  • One-to-one AI coaching

A private session built around one person's job. Best for owners and senior people whose time is the constraint.

  • Team AI training

A small group from the same team, working on the same shared tasks so the habits stick across the department.

  • AI workshops

A longer hands-on session for a wider group - real tasks, live in your own tools, with prompts written for each role.

  • Microsoft Copilot support

Focused help for businesses already paying for Copilot but barely using it. See the Microsoft Copilot training page for detail.

  • AI adoption support

Simple ground rules, a prompt library and a follow-up check so the training turns into everyday use.

  • AI consulting

A short review of where AI genuinely fits in your business, and just as importantly where it does not.

How the training works

  1. Step 1

    Free 15-minute call

We talk about the work that eats your week and whether training would actually help. No preparation and no sales script.

  2. Step 2

    Session built around your tasks

You bring real emails, documents and reports. We work through them live in the tools you already have.

  3. Step 3

    Written follow-up

Prompts, instructions and next steps in plain English, so it keeps working after the session ends.

Business outcomes

What businesses typically want from AI training, and what the sessions are designed to deliver.

  • Hours returned each week on writing, summarising and reporting
  • Faster first drafts of proposals, updates and client emails
  • Consistent quality across a team, not just one enthusiast
  • Clear rules on confidentiality and checking AI output
  • Confidence for non-technical people who felt left behind
  • A short list of AI tools worth using - and the ones to ignore

Experience and evidence

Forthfield is led by Rachel Clark, who has spent over two decades advising business owners and leadership teams on strategy and marketing, and now trains them to use AI in their everyday work. Training is delivered personally - not by a rotating pool of associates.

AI trainer FAQs

How long does AI training take?

Most people start with a 90-minute session. Teams and workshops usually run for half a day. Longer programmes are built from repeat sessions rather than one long day, because the habits form between sessions.

Do you deliver training remotely or in person?

Both. Remote sessions run over Teams or Zoom and work well for one-to-one coaching. In-person workshops are available across Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the wider UK.

Do I need to be technical?

No. The training is written for commercially experienced, non-technical people. There is no jargon, no coding and nothing to install beyond the tools you already use.

Which AI tools do you train on?

Mainly Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT, because that is what most UK businesses already have. If your team uses something else, we cover that instead.

Can you train a whole team?

Yes. Small team training and workshops are designed for groups from the same department so everyone works on the same shared tasks.

What support happens after the session?

You get written prompts and instructions, plus an agreed next step. Ongoing adoption support is available for businesses rolling AI out more widely.
