AI readiness assessment for business leaders

Is your business ready to make AI useful?

You may already have people using AI. You may even be paying for Copilot. The harder question is where it will make a difference to your business. This assessment helps your leadership team find a sensible place to start, see what needs checking, and decide what a first test should prove.

  • £4,500 fixed fee
  • Two weeks
  • Written decision brief

Tell me what you want to improve. We’ll check whether the assessment is the right first step and confirm the scope before you commit.

Start with the work, not the software.

We look at the work that takes time, slows decisions or holds back growth. Then we consider where AI might help. Some opportunities will be worth testing. Others will need better information, clearer ownership or stronger safeguards first.

  • 01

    Business value

Where could a better process improve revenue, margin, service or useful capacity?

  • 02

    Real work

Which repeated tasks are suitable for a first test?

  • 03

    People and adoption

Who would use the new approach, and what support would they need?

  • 04

    Risk and oversight

What information is involved, who checks the result, and who makes the final decision?

The paid offer

The AI Readiness & Value Assessment

What it costs
£4,500 for the standard scope. Broader, multi-site or more complex work is quoted separately.
How long it takes
Two weeks from the agreed start date, provided you supply the requested information and your people are available.

What we do

  • A leadership kickoff.
  • Up to four stakeholder conversations.
  • A review of your current AI use and approved tools.
  • A close look at up to three business workflows.
  • An assessment of potential value, practical feasibility, staff adoption, information risks and human checks.
  • Estimates based on your own figures, not generic benchmarks.

What you get

  • A concise written decision brief ranking the three opportunities.
  • The recommended first pilot, with its owner, baseline measures, key safeguards and likely costs.
  • A 90-day action plan.
  • A meeting to talk through the findings.

What happens next

Use the plan yourselves, or ask Forthfield for a separate pilot proposal. A pilot and technical implementation are not included in the £4,500 fee.

This is a business-led assessment. It is not an IT security audit, legal advice or certification that your company is “AI ready”. No savings, revenue or return are promised before your figures have been examined.

A better question than “Are we using AI?”

Ask: which piece of work should improve, how will we measure it, and what will our people do with the time they get back? Time saved can create room for better work. It does not automatically become a cash saving.

How it works

  1. 1

    A free 15-minute call.

Tell me what you want to improve. We check whether the assessment is the right first step and confirm the scope before you commit.

  2. 2

    Two weeks of focused work.

A leadership kickoff, stakeholder conversations and a close look at up to three workflows, using your actual business, not a generic checklist.

  3. 3

Your decision brief and findings meeting.

Three ranked opportunities, a recommended first pilot and a 90-day plan you can act on.

This probably isn't for you if…

  • You want a list of AI tools to buy. The assessment starts with the work, not the software.
  • You need a technical, security or compliance audit. That needs a different specialist.
  • You're looking for someone to build the AI for you. Forthfield helps your own people use it well.

Who this is for

Business owners and leadership teams who want a clear starting point. Especially those who have tried AI, bought licences or heard promising ideas, but cannot yet point to a result that matters to the business.
